If its world class night life you are after,
then you want to be sure and get the most out of it
To begin your evening, after your just-about-mandatory siesta, you may
want to go to the Whale Watcher Bar for sunset and an evening margarita
at the Hotel Finisterra and watch as the pacific disappear into the
night. Da Giorgios II, located near the Missiones Condominiums, also
offers an incredible sunset view for drinks and or dinner at an award
winning restaurant,
You may prefer something a little more casual like the beach bars on
Medano Beach (Cabo’s beach), where you have your feet in the sand and cerveza in a bucket of ice close at hand. You may find this at the
happening Mango Deck, the newer Billygan’s Island or the infamous Office
Bar where it is nothing like work.
You
probably want to eat something before going full tilt, red line into the
night scene. You might just want a few tacos on the way to the bars or
plan a real nice dinner at many of the restaurants and clubs here in
Cabo. We often begin at the Stoplight Restaurant, right next to Squid
Roe. Prices are reasonable, a broad selection on the menu and good food.
The big plus is the sidewalk seating. The later in the evening you dine,
the more interesting the 'parade of Cabo life' that passes you o the
sidewalk becomes.
Many of the clubs offer excellent food such as the Cabo Wabo
with its unique dishes where many of the dishes are made with none other
than Sammy’s famous Cabo Wabo tequila. The Scallops seared
in tequila and lime is
definitely one of my favorites. Great tip on the
big event nights at Cabo Wabo eat there and you will have
a table for the night because once it gets rocking space becomes a
premium.
There is a new club in town too, well about a year old, it's Roxx. It's
is without a doubt the nicest of all the establishments.
Great
sound system and lights, huge dance floor and ample bar area. Starting
at 9PM they have a band on the dining patio in front of the bar. The
food is very good.

One
of the hot new clubs is Mambo Cafe. This chain now has 10 bars in the
tourist cities of Mexico. Cabo's Mambo Cafe opened the first of 2005. To
get inside on a Saturday night now, you need reservations and to get
there early. The wait can be up to 2 hours.
There are still many more bars and clubs you can warm up and get going
in such as the open air Tanga Bar by Plaza La Glorias, Slims the world
smallest bar, the Jungle Bar where once it gets going it will last till
the wee hours or The Tower bar and disco located in the tower of Puerto
Paraiso.
Also located in Puerto Paraiso is a new bar, Body Shots. They have a
thunderous dance beat sound system on Saturday nights, but we have yet
to visit them.
There
is also the Love Shack, a great place for meeting and getting juiced up
- kind of a surf grunge crowd.
Once you have gotten started and then warmed up a bit, be sure to roam
around, as you will find the party flows from the Giggling Marlin to
Cabo Wabo. Jungle Bar and others but almost always the party eventually
ends up at the old Squid Roe. That is if you are looking for a truly
raucous outrageous anything goes type of party then that is where you
shall be.
Now for those that may just want to have a more intimate party or a more
quiet time you may consider the multitudes of other bars found in Cabo.
For example for a more tranquil and sexy party atmosphere you may want
to go on a Strip Club Cruise. That’s right, interspersed throughout the
Cabo night scene are the “Table Dance” bars. Please see my other article
concerning the Strip Clubs and tips on how to have a great time enjoying
the Cabo Nightlife. Party on be safe and we might just see you out
there!
