Bisbee Fishing Tournament in Cabo San Lucas

Bisbee’s 25th Anniversary Black and Blue Sport Fishing Tournament (The worlds richest billfish tournament) and the Los Cabos Offshore Tournament are just about upon us once again. It will be hosted at the newly re-modeled Costa Real Resort (old Plaza las Glorias (Grossio)).

The latest Bisbee’s press release claims that “the entry levels in all three of the tournaments are ahead of last year levels on this date” (August 2005 Update).

There is even a new Bertram Yachts-Marine Max Daily Jackpot for $5,000.00 which already has over a dozen entries.

Schedule:

The Black and Blue is October 25-29th fishing days are actually 26th,27th & 28th. As with last years tournament the entire tournament functions will take place at the Puerto Paraiso Entertainment Plaza. (Map of Cabo San Lucas).

The Bisbee’s Los Cabos Offshore Tournament is from October 21st-23rd. It is once again being held in conjunction with the Pete Lopiccola Billfish tournament. You will be able to fish both tournaments at once allowing for more opportunity to win.

Bisbee’s Golf tournament will once again take place on the Saturday before the awards ceremony. All of these events have really had an increase in attendance from year to year which is only proof of what a great time there is to be had by all.

`The Bisbee tournaments have in the past had great success not only in catching fish but bringing a lot of needed income to the already fast growing Cabo San Lucas area. It has in the recent years become quite the family event with many of the owners and fishermen (people) bringing their families for rest relaxation and other activities as well.

With many activities like ATV rentals, sailing charters, golfing, diving, horseback riding and side trips to towns like San Jose del Cabo, Todos Santos, or just driving part of the Baja Sur loop being some of the more popular ones. Also after a hard day of fishing you may want a massage from one of the local spas or a catered meal created just for you and your guest at your own villa.

The tournament dates end right before Halloween and therefore many of the participants will find themselves ending their vacations experiencing the world famous nightlife of Cabo.

There are so many options for those that are here in support of the Bisbee tournaments that it really is a fun time in the Los Cabos area. The weather is generally beginning to cool off while the water is still very warm. This makes for great beach days and excellent fishing which is what it’s all about in Cabo.

So, come one or come all but come to fish and have the time of your life here in paradise at Land’s End
